Dear church,

Time has come to begin another year but let us not forget to look back and take lessons from the last year to make the coming year more beautiful and more fruitful.

Every day to us the believers is ordained by Him already! His faithfulness continues throughout our life on this earth and after this.  He is same yesterday, today and forever. He is an unchanging God. He never failed us. He is the head of this Church. He never leaves His glory to be shared with others. He is a God of zealous.

As church, we travelled 2022 with His blessings and protection. We celebrated our 92nd anniversary this year. After covid, we had time to sit together for a meal and converse to one another freely. Another great event we enjoyed together in 2022 was Queen’s platinum jubilee celebration. We invited the whole community and had food and celebration together. We opened the church for any of our friends to enter and given a feel of welcoming! About 300 people attended the event and we had many local councillors visiting along with we had Wes Streeting, the local MP.

Many new people visited us and stayed with us. Some were invited into membership of Ashurst. I see Ashurst as a family church having about 50 children of age between 0-18! May His name be glorified. He has brought this people to us, and our family is extending day by day. The front of our church is named with LED and a cross been kept which has become a sign to many as this is the church. I have heard from people staying in the same Ashurst Drive but never noticed this as the church. Let us pray constantly for His will be done and His Kingdom be established at Ashurst.

Our church is the giving church. The foodbank trolley is overflowing for every month’s collection. We could give a good financial support to people afflicted in Ukraine war. Children too joined in making cakes and sell them for this cause.

We had to go through some down times because of continuous burglaries happened. Thank God, they have not disrupted us much. We lost our dear ones this year on this earth, but it is a gain for them now being in God’s presence. Remembering all our family members who have lost their loved ones.

What has God stored for us for 2023! Always good things will come from heaven above. Let us be Jesus’ hands and get ourselves into the field for His Kingdom growth.

With lots of love and joy, I wish you a Happy New Year 2023!

May God bless
