KIDS MINISTRIES
Sunday School gives the children the opportunity to learn about the Christian faith and undertake a variety of activities tailored to their particular age. Activities in Primary (ages 3 - 5 and 5 - 7) and Juniors (ages 8 - 11) include singing lively songs and choruses, listening to Bible stories, drawing, colouring and craft work. In the 'Squash' (ages 11-13) and Young People's Fellowship (ages 14-18) there is opportunity for discussion about the Bible and applying it to issues young people facing in the 21st century. We aim to make Sunday School an enjoyable experience for young people, the purpose being to encourage them to find out about the Lord Jesus for themselves. WOMEN'S FELLOWSHIP
The Women's Fellowship meets every Tuesday afternoon at 2.30pm. All ladies are welcome. Come to our friendly hour and chat over a cup of tea. We have a varied programme with lots of interesting speakers. PRAYER MINISTRY
Prayer is a way to serve God (Luke 2:36-38). Through prayer, we have the opportunity to glorify and praise Him for all He is and has done (1 Thessalonians 5:18). It helps us overcome. Paul encourages us to pray for everything with a thankful heart. When we are open and present all to Him, He will protect us with His peace. We should always connect with our Lord and Saviour. HOUSE GROUPS
We have a number of house groups that meet during the week at various venues. Small groups are an opportunity to pray, share, and study the Bible together in an informal setting. Currently we have several groups that meet on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Times and venues are published in the weekly church notices. READ MORE YOUTH MINISTRY
The church has a wonderful group of youth children. It's a richest blessing for the Ashurst Drive Baptist Church that the worship team is majorly comprised of the youth. The youth children ages from 11 to 18 meet twice in a month on alternate Fridays between 7.30 pm and 8.30 pm in the church. We mostly talk about ethical questions based on scriptures. There will be fun and games after the Bible study. Some of the youth actively participate in our prayer walk around the church community.
